Crepes originated in France and are a very thin pancake, often rolled or folded around a filling. Many people think of crepes served only as a breakfast dish with a sweet fruit filling. However, this spring, why not make vegetable garden crepes as a dinner dish, with vegetables which have been grown in your own edible family garden? Your children will be more likely to eat these healthy vegetable crepes if they have grown the vegetables in the garden themselves, and, if they have helped to prepare this tasty meal! So, what are you waiting for? Grab some garden vegetables, and head to the kitchen to make these delicious crepes with your junior chefs!
*Note: If your children are partial to the standard fruit-filled crepes, just use the Whole Wheat Crepe Recipe, and add your own locally grown fruit inside!
